Advance Exchange assures customers that their business will experience only minimal disruption in the unlikely event of a hardware failure. Available on specific scanner models (see chart below), the Advance Exchange Service Program provides advance replacement on failed or broken Fujitsu scanners. Advance Exchange Plus provides this same service for scanners beyond the Limited Warranty period and may be purchased in single or multiple 12-month increments.

Keeps Business Running Smoothly
Advance Exchange is a simple and efficient alternative to on-site service. In the event of a scanner failure the customer simply calls the Fujitsu Technical Assistance Center and describes the problem. If the Fujitsu Technical Support Engineer determines that the hardware must be replaced, the order is secured with a credit card and a replacement unit is shipped directly to the customer's location before the customer ships the faulty scanner back to Fujitsu. The delivery schedule for Advance Exchange is Next Business Day when the replacement order is received by 2:00 P.M. (Pacific Standard Time) and otherwise within two (2) business days. Once the replacement unit arrives, the customer uses this packaging to ship the failed scanner back. It's as simple as that.

How Advance Exchange Works
When the Advance Exchange or Advance Exchange Plus order is placed, a Service Activation Kit is sent to the customer. The customer completes the Service Activation Card inside the kit and returns it to Fujitsu with the proof of purchase. Once Fujitsu receives the completed Service Activation Card, Advance Exchange coverage will begin. It is important to note that if a scanner's warranty service has lapsed and suggested maintenance was not performed, Fujitsu may evaluate the product to determine if additional charges are required to restore the product to the current maintenance level.
